Silver Creek is located approximately 10 miles northeast of Show Low, and provides an excellent opportunity for fly fishing Oct.1 through April 30th. Silver Creek is only open to fly fishing and artificial lure on a “catch and release” program. This fishery is loaded with Apache Trout, planted from the hatchery upstream before the season opens. In past years brood-stock Rainbows were planted in the stream on a limited basis and some of the monsters still exist!
